I met Kara and Kyle a couple of weeks ago on one of the hottest days of the summer. They were such troopers, you can't even tell that it was over 90 degrees with humidity like crazy. Thank you for meeting with me guys- I can't wait for your wedding day :)
I may have to add some more photos onto this post as I am not quite finished with Allison and Kyle's gallery but I had to share some of them right away.
As I mentioned on facebook, I'm pretty sure that we chose the coldest day of the winter to have our session but Allison and Kyle rocked it. Such a fun afternoon, I can't wait until the wedding in September- I'm hoping it will be a little warmer then :)
My house is quiet right now so I thought that I'd do a quick share with a session that I had this weekend. I was so excited that the apple blossoms were out for one more photoshoot. I haven't done many couples/engagment sessions but the more I do- the more I love doing them
The background on this one looks almost surreal to me.
.... and one last one through the pink blossoms.
Can't wait for the wedding in July, Ashley and Jesse! It was so nice to see you both again.
I just placed an order from this session so I thought that I'd share some while I'm here.
When we signed the wedding contract Jessica asked if I would do a mini engagement session with her and Kevin. I've become a big fan of engagement sessions over the past few months. The reasons for this are: a. It's a prewedding run- I get to know what angles work best for the couple before the big day. Everyone has something beautiful about them, it's my job to highlight those features. I'm pretty good at noticing things on the fly but who can argue about being prepared beforehand. and b. We get to know each other and become more comfortable working together. That issue right there is a huge factor to a good photograph.
It was really nice to see you again, Kevin and Jessica- your prints will be here soon. Let me know if I can do anything else for you as we await your wedding day next year.
For each wedding contract signed now I'm going to offer a mini engagement session to each couple for free. The same rules and conditions apply to the engagment session as a regular portrait session. They really are a good thing.
I tried to wipe the fuzz from my brain yesterday for an engagement session- I knew that it wasn't quite clear when I went off of the wrong ramp heading east instead of west like I should have. Heh. Plain and simple: Baby Brain- it usually clears itself in 6 weeks but this was the only weekend available for Bruce and Kyla so we went for it. I'm glad that we did, it felt great to be behind the camera again and with my quick look through, I'm really pleased with what we got.
We started our session here and then moved on to a little healing garden down the street.
A little back light and sunflare- love that!
It was really nice to meet you Kyla and Bruce! Thanks for being such great sports during my first engagement session, I can't wait for your wedding in October. We'll talk soon.
