A Family Session {Howell, MI Portrait Photographer}

I just finished up this gallery today and thought that I'd share some of their session on my blog.  As a photographer, it's taken me the longest to feel comfortable doing family portraits then any other type of session.  I'd actually get more nervous to do those than I would with weddings, crazy, I know.  I never minded doing them, I'd just get nervous that I wouldn't do a good job. I think it was the multiple people that made did it for me.  This year however I think i've done enough of them that i've  finally gotten over my little.....  quirk?  fear?  hang up?   whatever you call it- and it actually feels really good.

The Real Sneak Peek {Livingston County,Michigan Newborn Photographer}

 

I couldn't quite leave these alone, you know me and my babies. This  guy gave us a little run for our money  in the beginning but he finally tired out and slept nice and long for us. Bean {My Real Life}

 
In a few short weeks I'll be sending four of my kids off to the local elementary school.  Four, I know , right?!

 I can't help but feel my heart tug  when I think of Kaarina missing from my days at home - partially because I can distinctly remember the day she was born and it couldn't possibly be five years ago- and partially because this is the first time one of my kindergartners is going to be away from me all day, every day (we've always had the choice of all day alternate or all day every day).  I'm not ready for this.  I'm feeling  shorted  that I don't get to share her week days with the school and I can't help but feel like she's being forced to grow up too quickly.  She needs one more year to play dolls with Aubrey and be the "big girl" at home during the day.  From now until forever she'll be spending more awake hours during the week in the  care of others than she will with me- as wonderful as the school and the teachers are,  I can't say I like it.  "Sigh".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ah, Bean- if only your mama was a teacher instead of a photographer I'd hold you tight for one more year.   You're pretty bright though- you can read a little (you learned the kindergarten words with Rebecca when she was in kindergarten), write a good deal and add enough to get by  so if we get too lonesome for each other it'll be okay if we take the day off every once in a while, right?

 This little dolly's newborn session was one of my first work sessions after I had Andrew.  She's the little newborn on my galleries page. How quickly time flies.
