my most favorite picture. I had a shoot tonight and this caught my eye as I downloaded them from the card.
I'm going to head up north in the morning for a few days if my baby will go to sleep and let me catch a few zzzz's. I won't have email access but I'll have my phone with me if you have any questions about anything.

I may have had more fun than they did on Saturday...... ok, probably not- but they were such an awesome couple to work with. Seriously, it was just plain fun the entire day.
Katie and I scoped this area out the Monday before her wedding and we were so excited to take her pictures here- it was perfect. However, when Saturday rolled around it started out with some serious rain coming down and we didn't have a choice but to start the pictures inside. After about a half of an hour or so the rain let up and I asked Katie what she thought-she suggested we go for it and head to the park... I love happy endings.
There are a gazillion more images that want to dive into but I need to put these away and work on my deadlines.
Thank you Aaron and Katie, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
I had my first senior shoot of the year tonight.... poor girl, I hauled her all over tarnation and back. I think that we got some great shots out of the deal so hopefully she'll think it was worth it.
...... and we can't forget the yearbook.

I've been trying to get a good dent into Kelli and Dan's pictures this week before my next wedding on Saturday. This morning while the kids were playing dress-up, I was playing photographer... this is what I came up with so far. As an FYI, I usually do give the colored versions to pictures as well as the black and white unless one version doesn't look right- I don't make everyone love black and white like I do.
I love flower girls.....
I hear that the dress up is over and the fighting has begun..... I'd better go referee... Happy Tuesday, everyone.
Golly, she's sweet. Seriously, I love babies. I had a session last night and I quickly went through and pulled a few to process this morning. I do believe that her mom and dad are going to have a hard time choosing which photos to put on the wall. Thank you for coming to see me guys, you have a very beautiful family!
On a side note, I need to thank all of my clients for passing the word about me and my photography business. I've been so lucky to have people telling other people and then me getting new customers because of it. I haven't been open for business very long and already I have met some really great people. So thanks everyone.... thanks for the words, thanks for the link-ups, thanks for helping me get this little business of mine off of the ground.... I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!

hello, hello... is there anybody out there?
So like I said, we're back.... and I think it feels good. I'll let you know after I do my laundry and pick the dead flowers out of my garden and pots..... it looks like I donated one of my hanging baskets to a mother Robin and her eggs this year- scared the living daylights out of my when I went to pull some flowers and she came screeching out of her nest.
Vacation was good, like always, it went by way too quickly. For the last few years the kids and I have stayed 3 or 4 weeks but this year we had to cut it short at two weeks because of my business, there is always bad that goes along with the good, I guess. Pete is officially hooked on fishing..... especially when he catches a lot of them in a short amount of time. It doesn't matter how big the fish are that he catches as long as he has something nibbling on his line. Speaking of fish, we ate lots and lots of it over the last two weeks. It was good.
Den and I took a day for ourselves and went to Isle Royale. It was a 3 hour boat ride to get there and we had just enough time to do a few mile day hike before heading back-we agreed that we definately would like to go again but for longer next time. I'm thinking that the big kids would love it out there as well- maybe next year I can take them.
I suppose, the laundry is still there and so are my dead flowers. Have a Happy Monday, everyone.
